древнегреческий философ конца 5 в. до н. э., ученик Гераклита, сделавший из его учения о всеобщей текучести вещей крайние релятивистские выводы. В частности, К. отрицал наличие у явлений какой-либо качественной определённости, вследствие чего ни о чём текучем вообще ничего нельзя сказать или можно говорить что угодно. Если Гераклит говорил о том, что нельзя дважды войти в одну и ту же реку, то К. учил, что в неё нельзя войти даже и один раз. Поэтому, вместо высказывания о вещах, он считал возможным только указывать на них.
